Progression on print products
Using the rulers on Photoshop, we positioned the name of the singer 'Delilah' and the name of the song 'Insecure' on our possible digipack cover. This way, it was able to be positioned accurately next to each other allowing for there to still be space along the outside of the cover.
We found the measurements of the inside of the digipack and also added measurements for the spine of the single. This way when the audience look at this, it is clear that we have the idea of the singer on one side of the CD (left) and her reflection on the other side where the actual CD will be placed (right). We also experimented with putting lyrics onto the left side of the inside of the product. We felt it was good to experiment with this because to us before adding it, it looked too plain. A little signature on the bottom right hand side was also added for a more realistic and professional effect to the product.
We searched for the exact measurements of an actual Cd so that we could create our own using Photoshop. We particularly looked at the diameter measurement which was 12cm to create this circular shape on Photoshop. Once we created our CD shape we changed to color to black as we thought it suited our overall product.
We then added the singers name and her single's name using the rulers so that it was placed and aligned correctly. We used the same font for 'Delilah' as it is on the front cover and 'Insecure is written in an italic handwriting form as the little signature is written that was placed on the inside of the product for consistency.
